KBSL has always maintained an experienced and energetic team to man the Service Provider Division as it has been one of the mainstays of the company. The division started off as a mere transaction based division that did hardware sales of telecommunication grade equipment such as routers that has grown into a proper Systems Integrator involved in solution designing, implementations and provides post-sales support.
The team is always ready to aggressively seek challenging opportunities and successfully completing the deliverables. We have managed to achieve a very high level in certification within a short period. We have the honour of being the only Juniper Elite Partner in Sri Lanka and also have PSS (Professional Services Specialization) authorization.
Some of the key areas KBSL Service Provider Division focuses on are as follows;
• IP/MPLS designing and deployments
• Setting-up Telco-grade call centers / hosted contact centers
• Carrier Grade NATing
• Log Management / SIEM
• Mobile Device Management / BYOD
• Cloud deployments
KBSL has deployed and is supporting IP/MPLS and ISP set-up of Lankabell, ISP enterprise set-up of Airtel Lanka and parts of SLT IP/MPLS and ISP network.
Lanka Bell redesigned their MPLS backbone to cater increasing bandwidth requirements on Broadband and LTE traffic. Utilizing a range of Juniper MX series platforms, MPLS backbone was designed to offer multiple services at the core and edge. To support the end-to-end MPLS as well as scaling up for future needs, Juniper ACX series were placed to build a next-generation transport network for mobile backhaul traffic. The Junos Space Network Management application provides effective tools for automating network operations. The entire project was deployed by KBSL without any professional services from principles.
Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) required expanding its IP/MPLS Backbone Network by adding new Provider Edge routers to cater multiple services with full scale MPLS edge functions. KBSL deployed juniper MX480 routers, carried out the Installation for those routers which are currently located in their Head office and HavelockTown, Welikada, Maradana, Nugegoda branches.
Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) required increasing network resources to cater growing xDSL customer base and IP TV customer base. KBSL deployed juniper E320 as BSRs and carried out the Installation for the BSRs which are currently located in SLT Head office and Havelock Town, Nugegoda branches. BSRs were setup to provide AAA functionality using RADIUS and assign IP address for PPPoE subscriber via RADIUS, local address pool or DHCP. IPTV service was provided using DHCP based xDSL access. BSRs were acting as LAC and LNS for L2TP sessions.
Airtel Enterprise ISP set-up was designed with the help of Juniper, deployed and managed by KBSL entirely. The set-up comprises of Juniper MX104 routers and Juniper switches.
1. SLT SIEM (Log Management) for ISP division based on IBM QRadar
2. SLT Carrier Grade NATing based on A10
3. SLT Hosted Contact Center based on Avaya
4. SLT Managed Security Solution based on Fortinet
5. Airtel ISP managed services managing Cisco and Juniper equipment primarily under a managed services contract.
The division is also actively seeking opportunities to work in the managed services model and we already manage the contact centre infrastructure of a large telco under a managed services model
